These card holders were born out of necessity. As a family we play a card game called Hand & Foot, it’s similar to canasta and is played with 4 full decks of cards. We encountered two unique problems; little hands and a giant kitchen table. Grandpa Jim to the rescue.

The littlest members of our family learned to play the game before they could hold all the cards (11 of them!) in their hands. Grandpa Jim designed the slanted card holders with two rows to hold a whole hand and then some. It allows the player, kids and adults alike, to see their cards but have hands free for other things (like bowls of Blue Bell ice cream). They are also great for older hands with joint pain or arthritis.

Our kitchen table is big, it has to be to fit all 8 of us. But having a draw pile in the middle of table is too long of a reach. The deck holder is deep enough to hold all the cards and is designed to have a draw side and a discard side. It is also felt lined on the bottom so it slides along to the next player without spilling all the cards.

Feel free to contact us with any questions regarding stain choices or felt colors.
